Google have confirmed this was an issue caused by a change they carried out. This configuration change had to be rolled back which solved the issue.

We have monitored the situation over night and there has been no further customer impact.

We are continuing to investigate this Incident #56207 - we believe that this is a 3rd party Google issue and our engineers are actively working with them to solve this issue.

This is an intermittent problem and not impacting all of our customers and as result we will be downgrading the priority.

We have identified a Major Incident which is impacting Google Maps.

Customers have reported they are receiving an error message (as below) when using Google services in particular when trying to track.

Error message: "This is development purposes only"

Our engineers are aware of the issue and are working with Google on a resolution.

As a result our phone lines are expected to be busier than usual.
